Camping Fun
Damen went with his dad and cousin over the weekend camping up in the Unitah Mountains. They had so much fun exploring, fishing, and hanging out at the campsite. Our (Bronson, Damen, Fergie and I) camping trip to Payson was cancelled due to work conflicts but will be rescheduled in August before school starts. Yippee!! school is starting soon

The Jeep
4" Cage lift with 35" Procomp A/T and 18" Spy wheels...........look at me talk jeep talk :-)
Fergie's favorite place to ride
A few months ago I bought a 4door 2008 Jeep unlimited X that I absolutely love and after 2 weeks of much patience the jeep is close to completion. I'm going to add some fun features along the way over the years but now with the lift and tires it looks like a jeep. Damen is trying to figure out the best way to get up there. We both have to jump....its funny. Its ok mom I'm ordering the steps to get in otherwise your not riding anywhere with me :-) I'm starting to realize how expensive accessorizing the beast can be. Its fun though.
Yeah Parade Time!!!
Last night on my way to work Steven called me and asked me if Damen could come with them to sleep downtown and save a spot to watch the Days of 47 Parade this morning. I asked Damen and he was excited. The arrived downtown to crowds of people at 1am and found a spot on a hillside. Steven told me this morning that him and Ruth got around 2 hours of sleep and Damen slept great for about 5 hours (its obvious..we are a tad on edge this morning). They walked down the street to McDonald's for breakfast and at 9am the Parade started. They all had a great time!!!

I almost lost my blog trying to download a new template. All u at there if you have advice for me on a website or just any ideas are welcome....except Heather. I looked at your blog and LOVE it, went to the pyzam website, found a new template I liked and tried to download it almost losing all my hard work in the process. Luckily I saved my original template by accident. Yeah me!!! I'm open to suggestions on how to sprus up my blog. Nothing new is going on in my life. The jeep will be out of the shop tomorrow and there will be a cute jeep post to come. Damen is leaving with his dad tomorrow afternoon to go camping and I have no 24th of July plans at the moment :-( Then on Sunday Damen, Bronson, Fergie and I head down to Payson Lake to go camping until Tuesday......cute postings to come. Happy 24th to all!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAMEN!!!!
So I'm getting better updating my blog however I'm having issues updating my blog on the days that the events occur. So...just know you guys are 2-3 days behind the times. On Friday, July 18th, my baby turned 10 years old. I cannot believe the time that has gone by so quickly and I feel I'm enjoying being a mother more now that I'm getting older. Its been a growing experience to see how priorities change and things I wanted as a young mother at 21 years is no longer important. I love being a mom and especially a mother to Damen! So for his birthday he wanted to go see the new Batman: The Dark Night and it was an amazing movie. I don't like comic book movies but this was done exceptionally well. We had lunch with Bronson at Applebees (damens choice of course) and then open his present. Yes there was only one from me since the gifts are becoming more expensive as he gets older. His old scooter has been out of service for well over a year. He had fun riding it up and down the street. Bronson and I were a little nervous last week when we put it together because it looks a little feminine. I didn't notice that when I ordered it on the internet. My choices were mint green and purple, so I thought the purple was the obvious girl choice...... We decided we are going to buy cool stickers to put all over it :) His friend party is going to be next week as he wants to go to a Bees baseball game with a few friends....that will be fun! More b-day celebration to come.

LAS VEGAS BABY!!
So....Late Saturday night after I had worked a 10am-10pm shift in the ER, extremely tired, my BFF Heather called to convince me that we needed to take a much needed girls only vacation and drive to Vegas Sunday and come home Tuesday. I stressed about it all night because I had responsibilities Sunday and Monday, not to mention Damen and Fergs. So after waking my ENTIRE family up Sunday morning at 7am, arrangements were kinda made.
On Monday we woke up early and went across the street to the Tropicana Hotel to have brunch. I love buffets and since we were there around 11am we had some breakfast and lunch. Our main reason for coming to this hotel was to go through the Bodies Exhibit. I had heard of it and knew the story behind it is controversial but after walking through it I would recommend everyone to go see it if your in Vegas. The displays were done tastefully and I learned more about the human body in an hour of walking through the exhibit than I learned in 3 months of my anatomy class in college. It was fascinating and I loved it.
Our next adventure was walking FOREVER down the strip to find the Venetian Hotel that had Madame Tussaud's wax museum. I had been there before, but it was a new experience for Heather and we had a blast!!! For those of you that haven't heard of the wax museum you walk around and actually see many wax figures of celebrities. They even show how the wax models are done. They have ones of George Bush, Michael Jordan, Prince, John Wayne, Nicholas Cage and many more. Some look more real then others. Here are some pics.....
We hit the road around 10:30am and arrived to Vegas around 5:00pm. We stayed at the Excalibur Hotel which is very nice and I had never been through it before. The hotel had a lot of activities for families. The weather was perfect.....mid 90's and overcast. Heather and I were tired from the drive and spent Sunday night listening to a band, eating good food, and of course making friends.

Heather and Taco (bro and sis)................. "cute guy" again!!
Thanks Heather for the fun times and memories. How sad that these pics and my wedding pics are the only ones we have of each other over our 5 year friendship. That's it!! We decided the camera is coming out of the closet...
July 15th!!!
Happy Birthday Bug!!! This day will always be special to me. I was privileged to be able to take care of the sweetest girl ever!!! I am grateful to Marcae and Brian for sharing this joy in my life. I watched these parents come to the hospital every day, be involved with her care, and make decisions that no parent should have to make. I truly believe god picked these parents for Kate for their patience (more marcae then brian :) ), love for each other, strength, wisdom, faith and being able to say enough is enough when god took her back. I happened to be at work Kate's final night at Primary Children's Hospital and was able to be with this amazing family. I just want Marcae and Brian to know how much their friendship means to me and how honored I feel to have known baby Kate Rosenvall.

A lovely day with family.....
Yesterday was my grandma Price's funeral. We all (except for Marcus) were able to attend and participate. They had the grand kids sing a song and like always I cannot sing at funerals and make it through the song with out crying my eyes out. It helped that I was holding Coen during the song and I actually believe a few words were able to come out. John and his siblings decided to have a similar service my grandpa Price had almost a year ago by remembering them through music. Both grandparents loved to hear and play music and shared that love with their kids. John and his sister played a duet, Tea for Two, that was amazing. I have always enjoyed watching John play the piano over the years. Damen did well during the viewing that morning and during the funeral, but last night when I was tucking him in bed he broke down and cried. Its hard for him to understand why his grandparents cannot be "fixed". Then he cried about his grandpa Manwill and how much he misses him. It was a rough night until he finally fell asleep......thank you Melatonin! Damen is very sensitive and he loves his grandparents. All of them have been a big part of his life, and mine 2!

Tribute to Grandma
What Is A Grandma?
A grandma is warm hugs and sweet memories. She remembers all of your accomplishments and forgets all of your mistakes. She is someone you can tell your secrets and worries to, and she hopes and prays that all your dreams come true. She always loves you, no matter what. She can see past temper tantrums and bad moods, and makes it clear that they don't affect how precious you are to her. She is an encouraging word and a tender touch. She is full of proud smiles. She is the one person in the world who loves you with all her heart, who remembers the child you were and cherishes the person you've become.

Yesterday evening my sweet grandma left this earth and returned home escorted by my grandpa. She lived a great life and I will always have great memories of my times visiting her. She loved to cook, play games, visit with family, and had a great love for music. Damen had a hard time when I told him. "Why can't they just fix her", is what he asked me as he was crying. I am so glad that Damen was able to get to know his great-grandpa and grandma Price. Grandma we love you......

Finally!!!!
So baseball is over.....finally. Damen's team took 2nd place in the playoffs last Friday. I was waiting to make this post until I have pics but who knows when I will get those. So just know awesome pics are to come. I just signed Damen up for Football, on to the next sport. Today has not been the best day. I received a phone call from my mom this morning telling me that my grandma Price had a heart attack this morning and things don't look good. For the past 3 months she has been at a rehab facility for a broken hip after she fell at home. Well after the first surgery her other hip needed to be operated on. Back in the rehab center there was a staff member that moved my grandma WRONGLY and broke her femur which sent her back to the hospital for a third surgery. Now for the past few weeks she has been screaming in pain, getting no relief and then this morning had the heart attack. The doctors have told us she has an infection that is circulating through her blood. Right now the family is saddened and angry since this was an avoidable condition my grandma is in. Her heart was so weak that the infection caused the heart attack and the infection came from the femur fracture which was avoidable. I would like to have a "chat" with this staff member, but the family is taking action the legal way. Being a nurse, a health care provider I am having a hard time that my sweet grandma endured poor care and pain that has probably cost her her life.
