Rosco!

Last Wednesday night I was lucky enough to puppysit the cutest Minicher Pincher I have ever seen.......Rosco. We had a sleepover and spent all Thursday together. Fergie was unbelievably jealous and pissed off. Even more so then when Sandy or Zeus are here (my brothers dogs). I don't know if its because he was so small or maybe it was the fact that this pup had to be held constantly!!! I didn't think Ferg's was gonna make it through the night or day. I didn't sleep that well due to Rosco sleeping right next to my face in the middle of Brons and I. I has afraid we would roll over and kill him in our sleep. It was a long night for all. At one point Rosco ran off into my bedroom and it took me quit a while to locate him. I finally decided to look in the walk in closets and found Rosco in Brons' closet. He had jumped up on the first shelf and was sleeping on his clothes......it was adorable! I was sad to take him home. Maybe its time for a new baby!!!!

Puppy that is :)

Family Fun

Last night we had our family get together....we started this in October and get together every 2 months and alternate who's home we are at. We all have a great time eating great food, playing games and catching up on each others lives. I have a greater appreciation for my family and the time we spend together now more then ever......life's too precious. I want them to all know how much I love them and all they contribute to make the Price/Gibby clan so amazing :) ......yes Ruth, even U bring a certain spark and flare to our family!!!!! I had to work until 6:30 so by the time I arrived to my mom's house they had eaten and built their gingerbread houses. Jimmy helped Damen build a spectacular gingerbread house. Marcus told me they spent 3hrs on it. WOW!! Then of course we had time to play my favorite game........Scategories!!!! February is my month to host the family fun! Can't wait!!!!!!

Sleepover with Coen:-)

Today I was lucky enough to babysit my cute, and only nephew!! Fergie also had entertainment/competition with Sandy. My mom has been out of town for the past week and it was her Saturday to watch him......so aunt Sue stepped up!! Katie dropped him off around 10:30am and the fun began. He is so funny and is getting so big. I love how he "scoots" around the floor and actually gets around very quick. Brons and I hung out taking turns playing with Coen, feeding him dinner, then we ended the night watching a movie. Even grocery shopping with Coen was fun and interesting......he is a big helper. He slept well during the night and Sunday morning I met Bry and Katie. I think this should
be a monthly tradition:)
I figured out early that all Coen needs to have
fun with is any BALL!!

Fergie followed Coen all over the house and
was interested in everything he did.

Sandy just liked to chill and watch the show. I
MADE her and Fergie sit next to eachother on
the couch for a "cousin" pic.

Time for the fun to end......
Coen and Sandy went home:(
P.S. HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY WHIT!!!!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Well.....
Halloween was a success, even with the rain drops that continued through our evening. Bronson had to work that night so Damen, Fergie and I went over to the Larsen's house for some Trick O' Treating companionship (groups are always safer!!!!).His costume that night was also a hit. So many people said he had the best costume they had seen all night......thanks Steven for your help. Damen's costume was a Bobble-head Grim Reaper. Fergie wouldn't wear her costume very long as the ear piece and cap drove her crazy!!!Damen managed to get a lot of candy
and ate most of it right when we got home.
When we got home we ordered some pizza
and watched movies until midnight.
Damen and I had fun spending time together.

The first pic is our friend Jeff and Damen. Then the other 3 pics should be familiar faces. Hope everyone had a great and spoooooooky night. :)

Wax Museum

Damen has been working really hard the past few weeks on a school project. They were given people in history to research and learn how they influenced American History. Damen was given John Moses Browning to do his assignment on. I had NO idea who this guy was so Damen and I learned together. For those of you who also have no clue, Browning revolutionized the gun industry and as a young boy growing up in Ogden he designed a gun at a teenager and then grew up and patened his gun making and started a company making shotguns, handguns and rifles. It was fun to work with Damen. He got a 100% on the written report and today he dressed up as Browning and all the 5th grade class did a wax museum for all the school and students to come as see all the students characters and hard work. Way to go Damen!!!

Halloween Party Fun!!!

Last Saturday Brons, Heather, Put (aka Dustin), Shawnee, Denver and I went to a Halloween Party that our neighbors across the street were having. They worked really hard decorating the house and outside and in. They even set up a haunted house in the unfinished basement. It was actually scary to walk through it. The food was yummy and the costumes were fun. Here are a few pics of the night. Can't wait for next year!!!!!

TA-DA!!!

I know you have all been waiting patiently for the finished project and here it is...................

They worked so hard on the door and it looks amazing. I wish I would have taken a pic of the door before we started and I forgot. Just trust me its a HUGE improvement. I also decided to get a new welcome mat since my other one is old and falling apart. I was at Kohl's and found the perfect mat that is perfect for our home. It says
a lot of our scary pooch that will attach ya :)
Our day today was also filled with sadness. Bronson's cousin and her husband were in a car accident last Saturday night. Kara was driving and had to stop suddenly on the freeway and swirved causing the car to roll. Her husband wasn't wearing his seat belt and as the car was rolling he was ejected out the sunroof and died instantly. Kara was fine, not a scratch on her and the car was totaled. Its hard to imagine anyone surviving the accident. We are so glad Kara was ok and not to mention the life she is carrying. She is a few months along and its sad to think about their baby not being able to know his/her dad and that Kara is now a single mom. My heart and prayers go out to her and the family. The funeral was beautiful and even though I never had a chance to meet Hutch in the year they were married I could tell he was an amazing man from all the comments made today by family and loved ones. Life is precious and everyday is a gift.....

What's wrong with this picture?????

Yep.....you probably guessed it!! We have NO front door. Its a slab of wood nailed in to keep it in place and hopefully keep the strangers out.....not intended to be a Halloween decoration. Brons and I have always loved our big door but over the last year it has been flaking in areas and there is a big crack in the bottom of the door from a sudden hot to cold weather change. So Brons has a friend at the fire station that does custom furniture building on his days off for extra cash. And let me tell you....he does an amazing job. Brons and him worked on the door all day Friday sanding, priming, lacquering, and staining the door. They ran out of time, hence my fake door in the doorway. Its really throwing off fergie that she cant go out the front door, so every time she needs to go out I have to redirect her to the garage. She's not happy. The door should be finished on Tuesday (cross your fingers). In the meantime I had a redecorating itch and went and bought all new rugs for my kitchen and master bathroom. Then I saw the cutest pillows for my kitchen chairs....can I say comfy :) It was fun and changed the entire look of my kitchen. Now I'm currently trying to sell my couch set on KSL and its not going as well as my tires I previously sold in 10 minutes of posting my ad. Damen is doing great and keeps tugging along in school as I'm pushing him along. The finished project pictures will post Tuesday. More excitement to come..............

Mom is home!! :)

Last Wednesday my mom was sick and admitted to the hospital after a fun ambulance ride (way to go grandma Jean for smart thinking). After 5 days of interventions and NO surgery (mom you know your body and made the right decision) my mom is home and happy to be home. I'm blaming Peggy's smoothies for this hospital stay which means the bill is on its way to Colorado : )
Otherwise life has been pretty boring.....just work, work, work.

Blog-Tag??? : )

My sister-in-law is a SPAZZ and likes to do blog-tags. I never participate and she keeps doing them so I FINALLY thought I would play along.......enjoy!!

This is another version of blog-tag. YEAH!!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. I'm sure it will be pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't have a blog leave me your email address and I'll send a memory to you.

P.S. Love ya Ruth

Montana Trip!!

What a beautiful week with some fun fishing. I drove up on Thursday morning to meet Bronson, who was fishing with his dad and brother, at Reynold's Pass....just outside Island Park. I visited with his dad and brother for a while then Brons and I headed off to Ennis to check in to our motel. We stayed at the Sportsman's Lodge cabins which are walking distance to the main street of town. We had a nice dinner at the Claimjumper, walked around town, then got some good sleep :) Friday morning we went to the Beartooth, which is the best fly fishing shop EVER!! Picked up some supplies and got some advice and drove down to a part of the Madison River and fished all day.

Within 5 minutes Brons hooked a fish!!!
Madison River!! 78 degrees, sunny, slight breeze!!
That evening we drove to Bozeman to spend the rest of our trip with his uncle Ryan and Lisa. They have been living there for a couple of years and are trying to recruit Brons and I to come live up there with them. Brons is in....but I'm gonna need convincing. :) They cooked us dinner and introduced us to their babies......Holy Crap!!!! Their babies are nothing like my baby fergie. Lakota and Cheyenne are their 2 Alaskan Malamutes that both weigh a ton and are huge!! Lets just say is took them a day to warm up to us being in their home. The pic to the left is Lakota barking/howling at me. It was so funny how they didn't like us at all and if we tried to pet them they would run off.

Saturday morning we were up and going around 9am and drove 1 1/2 hours to the Missouri River for our next fishing adventure. This is a river Brons and I had never been to and one Uncle Ryan has fished many times. So it wasn't any surprise to me that he hooked the first fish...and the second fish....and the third fish!! I must say that this river is a hard one to fish. I hooked 3 fish for about 10-40 seconds then they got off my hook. These fish were amazingly huge!!! We spent all day on the river then drove back to Bozeman to eat at Bronson's favorite pizza place, MacKenzie River Pizza Company. Then we went back to Ryan's house to make copies of the fishing pic's of the day.......

Sitting in the office watching them print off pics is when the dogs finally warmed up to me.....almost a little too much. They are big babies to be giving so much affection and kisses...Their tongue's were HUGE, they shed like no other, and for some reason Cheyenne thought she was a lap dog!! It was a fun filled fishing trip. Thanks "unkie Ry" and Lisa for sharing your home with us.

Education Week!!

Nothing new or fun has happened with the family this week, except for Brons who left for Denver on Friday for the Fallen Firefighters Memorial. He is coming home today and said the memorial yesterday was amazing. As for me, education classes only and working :( Last Sunday I worked a 6 hour extra shift at Primary's then went to Coen's B-Day party at Bryant and Katie's home. It was the funnest part of my entire week. Bas came down for the party and it was fun talking and playing games with him. Monday I had a Trauma Workshop at Primary's that all Trauma nurses are required to attend. It was very informational and I learned tonz. Tuesday I worked my normal 12 hour shift at Primary's. Then Wednesday and Thursday I took a TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) at Lakeview (my perdiem ER job). It was an awesome course and certification. Then on Friday for 6 hours in the morning I taught PALS (I'm an instructor) at Primary's, which I love to do. And finally yesterday I had the DAY OFF. Damen and I cleaned the house, laundry was done, I took a nap, we made dinner, and watched movies all evening long. It was fun. Now its back to work tonight and tomorrow night at Primarys. This is my life that I love! :) Keeping busy is good for me. Damen continues to do well in school and fights me on homework. :) Wednesday I leave for Montana to meet Brons and go fly fishing for the week. I should have some great pics...........

A beautiful weekend in Idaho

Last Thursday around 4pm Brons, Damen, Fergs and I made the drive back up to Idaho for the funeral. It was a nice drive and we arrived at the house a little after 7pm. Bas, Mom, John and my grandma were all ready over at the viewing. We were all starving so we decided to head out and find some food. Just outside of Rigby we found a steakhouse restaurant that looked good.....and it was fantastic. Our steaks were amazing! When we got back to the house I spent some time with my mom and grandma. Brons and Damen went outside looking for "snipes". They had fun.
I don't think anyone slept well that night and Friday morning came quick. We all met at the church at 9:30 when the viewing started. Kris looked absolutely gorgeous. Her color in her face was amazing.....I didn't realize how anemic (pale) she really was from the constant bleeding in her mouth. Her has was done nice and she was dressed in her temple clothes. I sat there in the room watching all the people go through the line with the same things to say- "Kris was my friend". The waterworks started when they closed the casket and as we walked into the chapel. I sat in the front since I was a speaker. Damen sat with Bronson and the other pall bearers off to the side of me. The service was perfect. Bas picked out amazing songs to be played and my cousin sang an Enya song "where are you now" that my step dad accompanied, it was perfect. I spoke and it was my first time speaking at a funeral and I think I was a blubbering mess and everything was clear in my head but I couldn't get the words out. Everyone said I did a great job, but I'm not convinced. My mom and Ruth also did a great job speaking. The dedicatory prayer at the cemetery was hard. I watched as the pall bearers carried the casket and I was hard to watch Damen carry his aunt. He looked so small and so young. It just reminded me that Kris was to young to leave us.
After the luncheon we said our goodbyes and drove a little over an hour more north to West Yellowstone. We decided we needed some happy times this weekend. We found a motel room at the 3 Bears Inn. Damen was excited to have his own room. Our motel was just off the main street through town so we decided to walk around. We took some time to look in some shops then we ate dinner at Bronson's favorite pizza place. We walked around some more then headed back to the motel and slept!

I slept so good, for not being in my own bed. Saturday morning we were up and ready by 9am and went to the restaurant at our motel. For some reason breakfast always tastes better when your out of town. Then we walked over to the Bear and Wolf Discovery. We walked around the inside exhibit and learned all we ever wanted to know about grizzly and black bears. Then you walk outside and they had an area for the wolves and on the other side had a bigger area for the bears. After some convincing, Damen and 10 other kids became Keeper Kids and were able to learn more about bears. They took the bears out of there area and the kids and the guide walked into the bear house and hid buckets of fruits and veges for the bears to find. When they were back with the parents and the area was locked up they let the bears back out and it was fun to watch them find the food.

Before leaving town we stopped at a fly shop, Bronson's tradition and his favorite fly shop, then we hit the road. We arrived back home safely around 5pm completely exhausted.
